Lion's Heart Out NOW!

About Me
I am a solo artist based in the DC/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) area with a style that can be described as a mix of alt-pop, art pop, and pop-rock.
Making music has always been my happy place; as a child, before school each morning I would play an old 70s keyboard my grandparents let me take home from their house. It was nothing fancy - just a piano layout with enough octaves to learn the basics. There was no way to change the dynamics while playing. As simple as an instrument it was, it was one of my favorite things to occupy my time with. My love for music only grew during my school years playing trumpet. I still occasionally take that instrument out for kicks (even with the painful knowledge of deteriorated skill).
After high school I put my favorite pastime to the side in order to go to university. During that period I greatly missed playing music with others and being able to sing whenever I so wished, so once settled into my post-uni career I jumped back into it by buying a small casio keyboard from Walmart of all places. From there I began learning music production by watching hours of videos on YouTube, taking some online courses on various platforms, and reading article on article about best practices and how-to's.
My first songs, One Step and Moon, were produced by Steve Antonelli from Song Builder Studios out in Maryland. Once the pandemic hit, though, I decided to try and start producing my own music. That was how the EP, inQ, was introduced. Some of the tracks on that EP I hired out people to record parts and help get the mixing and mastering right. The original EP with all songs, including one cover, is no longer available as I did not like everything on there, but new stuff is always in the works!
